Statement of Faith
Trinity Homeschooling Association's Statement of Faith expresses the essentials of Christian beliefs in hopes of insuring Christian fellowship and unity among membership.
1. We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments as preserved by God, to be the only inspired and inerrant Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the final authority for all Christian faith and life. (Matt. 5:18, 1 Cor. 2:13, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:21)
2. We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons having each the samenature, attributes and perfection, each worthy of worship; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1; Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19; John 1:1-2, 14,10:30, 14:15-17; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor.13:14)
3. We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been sent by God out of love for mankind to be conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He lived sinless on this earth, teaching and performing mighty works and wonders then died on the cross, shedding His blood as a sacrifice for our sins as is recorded in the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven, where at the right hand of God the Father, He is our High Priest and Advocate. One day He is coming again personally, bodily and visibly. (Isa. 7:14, 9:6-7; Heb. 7:25-27; Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1-5, 10-14, 3:13-16,14:3; Col. 2:9; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 1:3, 11; 1 Thes.4:16)
4. We believe that the Holy Spirit is God and possesses all the divine attributes. He convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, guides, instructs, empowers, and seals all believers. He works to conform yielded believers into the image of Christ, fitting them for service and godly living. (John 3:5, 16:7-11; Acts 5:3-4; Eph. 1:13, 4:30, 5:18; 1 Cor. 6:19, 12:13)
5. We believe that man was created in the image of God but in Adam's sin the race fell. All are therefore morally corrupt, and of themselves unable to remedy their lost condition. (Gen 1:26-27; Ro. 1:18, 3:23, 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3, 12)
6. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who choose to repent, believe and accept His sacrifice for their sin. Only those who receive Jesus Christ by grace through faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. (Acts 13:38-39; Ro. 4:5, 6:22-24, 8:1, 38-39; John 3:16-18, 10:27-29; Eph.2:8-9)
